Who doesn’t love a chocolate surprise egg

The chocolate surprise egg activation is a lovely finale for formal events, romantic surprises or as an anniversary surprise. In it, a chef chocolatier prepares in advance a giant chocolate egg that, of course, contains a surprise. It could be a gift such as an engagement ring, something personal or something loved. Or more sweet surprises — chocolates, fruit, nuts and so on. The egg is decorated and plated, and the chef chocolatier has two choices — either to smash it in the middle of the table (like a piñata) so all the treats scatter, or to pour a hot drink over it so the top melts and reveals its contents.
