Christmas Party Bartenders: How Great Cocktails Make the Celebration Unforgettable
The Christmas party is the moment when the whole team is finally together again, with no deadlines and no emails. Music, decorations and food all matter. But there’s one thing guests remember long after the party is over: the glass in their hand. Professional Christmas party bartenders turn an ordinary evening into an experience. In this article you’ll learn why, and which cocktails we’d suggest for you. You’ll also get a few free tips for organising the event.

Why bartenders instead of drinks on the table?
A bar brings people together. At any corporate celebration, guests look for a reason to start a conversation. The bar is where colleagues from different departments naturally meet.

A bartender brings control and responsibility. An experienced bartender keeps an eye on the pace. They offer alcohol-free options and can tell when someone needs a glass of water. That way the party stays fun until the very end.

A bar is also a show. The shaker, the flamed orange peel and the rosemary garnish are all part of the entertainment. People take photos and share them.

A branded bar: your brand in every glass
A branded bar carries your logo, your colours and a menu of cocktails named after your products, teams or the year’s achievements. It’s a powerful tool for internal communication and employer branding. If clients are among the guests, the bar becomes a marketing channel too. At EventsBakery we provide professional bartenders, a mobile bar, a signature cocktail menu and full branding, from the bar counter to the napkins.

The Christmas cocktails we’d suggest
Mulled Wine
Key ingredients: red wine, orange, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, honey.
The ancient Romans already warmed wine with spices to fight off the winter cold. The legions carried the drink across Europe. Today every country has its own version: German Glühwein, Scandinavian Glögg, Bulgarian greyano vino. It’s the drink that smells of Christmas before you even taste it.

Spiced Cranberry Rosé Spritzer
Key ingredients: rosé, cranberry, cinnamon, sparkling water, rosemary.
The spritz was born in 19th-century Northern Italy. Austrian soldiers found the local wines too strong and asked for them to be “sprayed” (spritzen) with water. Cranberries have a fun secret of their own: fresh ones bounce. American farmers sorted them for years by dropping them down a set of steps. The good berries bounced on, while the soft ones stayed behind.

Pomegranate Gin Fizz
Key ingredients: gin, pomegranate juice, lemon, sparkling water, pomegranate seeds.
The Gin Fizz was described as early as 1876 in the guide written by legendary bartender Jerry Thomas. In New Orleans, the famous Ramos Gin Fizz took so long to shake that during Carnival the bar hired dozens of “shaker boys” who took turns at it. In many cultures the pomegranate is a symbol of abundance and good luck, which makes it a lovely wish for the business in the new year.

Chocolate Cream Cocktail (inspired by the Brandy Alexander)
Key ingredients: brandy, chocolate liqueur, cream, nutmeg, a chocolate rim.
The classic Alexander appeared in New York in the early 20th century. Legend has it that it was created for a dinner honouring an advertising heroine who always dressed in white, which is why the cocktail is white too. John Lennon is said to have loved it and called it a “milkshake”. We serve it as dessert and cocktail in one.

A party at the office: skip the venue rental
If your office is large, or you have a courtyard, terrace or other open space, there’s no need to book a restaurant. We can turn your own space into a party venue. Alongside the bar, we can add:

a DJ who reads the crowd and knows when it’s time for Christmas classics and when it’s time to dance;
professional sound, tailored to the size and acoustics of the space;
striking lighting: colour spotlights, light curtains and warm festive accents that transform the office beyond recognition.
The money saved on rent often covers the entire entertainment programme.

Prefer to keep it minimal? Completely understandable. One great bartender with an elegant bar can set the mood for a more intimate Christmas party all on their own.

Free tips for organisers
Limit the menu to 4–6 cocktails. Too much choice slows down service.
Always offer an alcohol-free option. A mocktail with pomegranate and ginger shows you’re thinking of everyone.
Plan for 1 bartender per 50–70 guests. For signature cocktails, 1 per 40–50 works better.
Don’t put the bar next to the entrance. Otherwise you’ll get a bottleneck in the first few minutes.
Check power and access in advance. This matters if you’re planning a DJ and lighting at the office.
Conclusion
A great Christmas party isn’t measured by its budget, but by the feeling guests take home with them. Professional Christmas party bartenders and a branded bar turn any corporate celebration into an event people talk about until next Christmas. If you want music and lights as well, add a DJ and lighting.
